Terms of Use
Sauvula Self-Service Halls 23.11.2024

  1. The Sauvula Self-Service Halls are primarily intended for self-service vehicle washing, cleaning, and other light car maintenance tasks, including tire changes. Permitted vehicles include passenger cars, vans, pickup trucks, RVs, and motorcycles. Washing larger vehicles may be arranged upon special agreement. Hall door dimensions: Width 4.40m, Height 5m. High ceiling area: Width 4m, Length 10m. The hall is operated by Sauvula Self-Service Halls (hereinafter referred to as “Self-Service Hall”), and users are referred to as “Users” in this text.
  2. An office for the business is located adjacent to the washing area. Staff may be working in the office or performing car detailing tasks in another part of the hall during a User’s reservation. However, uninterrupted access to the washing area is guaranteed for the User during their reserved time.
  3. Only tasks that do not cause permanent mess or hinder subsequent use of the hall are allowed.
  4. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
    • Ozonation
    • Oil changes
    • Painting
    • Any undercoating or sealing work
    • Hot work (including grinding)
    • Running vehicle engines inside for extended periods (due to exhaust gases)
    • Any activity producing disruptive gases, odors, or stubborn stains.
  1. Behavior that disturbs other areas of the facility is not allowed. Playing music is permitted as long as the volume remains reasonable and non-disruptive. Avoid revving vehicle engines unnecessarily, as the walls transmit sound. If these rules are not followed, Sauvula Self-Service Halls reserves the right to charge Users a minimum fee of €20 for rule violations.
  2. During a reserved hour, the User may wash 1–2 vehicles.
  3. The reservation fee includes a reasonable amount of pre-wash detergent and car shampoo for handwashing. For pre-wash detergent, “reasonable” is approximately 1–1.5dl per passenger car; larger vehicles may require more. Car shampoo is pre-portioned for 15 liters of water. If the User exceeds these reasonable amounts, Sauvula Self-Service Halls may charge a €20 penalty fee. Users may bring their own cleaning chemicals, provided they are approved for use in Finland and safe for others.
  4. Reservations and registrations are made via the online calendar. The User’s personal and payment information is collected during the booking process.
  5. Sauvula Self-Service Halls reserves the right to approve or reject User registrations.
  6. By making a reservation, the User gains access to the facility for the specified duration.
  7. The User must ensure the correct date and time during payment, as reservations cannot be canceled or refunded.
  8. Facility use is personal; the User who made the reservation is always responsible for adhering to the rules. Otherwise, use is unrestricted (e.g., reservations are not vehicle registration specific).
  9. Sauvula Self-Service Hall does not have on-call staff available 24/7. In case of equipment malfunctions, Users should call the customer service number. If the issue prevents facility use, lost time will be compensated with a new reservation of equivalent duration, scheduled in agreement with the User, provided the hall is available.
  10. For significant issues (e.g., water leaks, garage door problems, or damages to vehicles, property, or equipment), contact customer service immediately.
  11. For minor concerns or suggestions, email asiakaspalvelu@sauvulagroup.fi.
  12. The User is responsible for their own safety, the safety of their guests, and any damages to vehicles, the hall, or its equipment while using the facility. Sauvula Self-Service Halls is responsible for ensuring the safety and functionality of its equipment. If the User is unsure about using any equipment, they may request guidance via the customer service number. The User is liable for damages caused by negligence or intentional misuse.
  13. All thefts will be reported to the police.
  14. The facility has recording surveillance, used for resolving issues and misuse cases. Staff may review footage to ensure cleanliness and proper equipment placement. If the hall is left messy or equipment is missing, the User is liable for damages.
  15. Some equipment in the hall has designated places. If any equipment is missing from its designated spot and cannot be found, the User whose reservation has ended will be held responsible for compensation if the equipment is not seen in its proper place (based on camera footage).
  16. Before the reservation ends, the hall must be emptied and cleaned. The floor must be rinsed with a pressure washer and squeegeed dry. Trash, excluding hazardous waste, may be disposed of in onsite bins. Hazardous waste must be removed by the User. A minimum fee of €20 will be charged for cleaning if the hall is left messy.
  17. If the User exceeds their reserved time without booking extra time, Sauvula Self-Service Halls will charge for the overage based on the standard rate, with a minimum of 30 minutes. If the next customer cannot use the hall due to the overage, the User will be charged for the lost time, with a minimum of 30 minutes.
  18. The garage door must remain closed during cleaning. If the door is left open unnecessarily, and the hall temperature drops below +10°C, a €20 heating fee may be charged.
  19. At the end of the reservation, the User must ensure the pressure washer and other electrical devices are turned off, and the garage door is fully closed. If the garage door cannot be closed despite multiple attempts, contact customer service immediately. The User is responsible for any consequences if the door is left open.
  20. The overhead door’s emergency exit is only for emergencies. Any other use of the emergency exit is strictly prohibited.
  21. The User must not admit the next customer by opening the door for them; each customer must access the hall through their own reservation. The User is responsible for any actions taken by others they allow into the hall during their reservation.
  22. Sauvula Self-Service Halls reserves the right to charge Users for additional costs (e.g., overtime, cleaning, or damage caused by negligence).
  23. By using the facility, whether registered or not, the User agrees to these terms.
  24. Violating these rules may result in the User being banned from future use of the facility.
  25. Serious or intentional violations will be reported to the police.
